Oh my word… I seriously teared-up during this. You have done what I’ve failed to: Arrange Gold Pilot in any cohesive way for solo piano. And it’s absolutely Gorgeous! Thank you so much, my friend. It’s an honor to be so expertly covered!
So I decided to enter the FLS Fortnight competition on Reddit this round, since it’s dubstep and I enjoy working in that world (albeit not very often anymore). The contest gives you 12 days to write a song for entry. I wrote this one in 3.
Here’s my piano arrangement of Gold Pilot from the Homestuck album coloUrs and mayhem: Universe A. The original is one of my favorite pieces of Homestuck music, and I was so happy to hear it in the recent flash. If you want to play this arrangement yourself, you can find it here; a handful of the notes may be tricky to play, but chances are, you can exclude them and still preserve the melody.
THIS IS SO COOL! Very very faithful to my original, and I’ve been too lazy to do a piano arrangement myself. Absolutely brilliant! :D
So I have been experimenting with 8 and 16-bit music the past few days, and the result is this!: The Birds of Wellhammer. I’ll warn you though, it will knock you over if you aren’t prepared. heh. It’s dangerous to go alone…
