So I’ve been pretty absent lately, and as I’m finishing up production on my new album, I thought I should come back and interact a bit! So here’s a video for your eyes and ears. It’s me not quite a year ago at my first live solo performance at Homemade Genius, a performing venue in my hometown. I’m performing “Rushwater”, a song in my indie rock/instrumental set (of-which few have heard). Enjoy my ill-practiced self singing for any and all!
And I mean no disrespect to the artist’s vision, of course!
It just seems so completely, perfectly Psiioniic to me, moreso even than Twoward2 The Heaven2, that I’m just blown away that it wasn’t actually intended for him. I feel him in the song from start to finish, both in the style and emotion…
Well I’m certainly glad you feel it fits! But believe it or no, It was indeed written for Bec-…well…actually it was only Bec by the end, I went through several characters in the course of composing the song, The Psiioniic among them. I after Psiioniic had been chosen by the music team as the character with-which my track would be paired, it struck me how well it did actually fit—more than I’d realized beforehand—and I was then fairly pleased that it had been switched from Bec! It did work out incredibly well that way.
hey remember when colours and mayhem came out? unfortunately for you i do too.
just shennanies from what i’ve learned in famitracker today. i’d give you a timeframe but i’m shitty at time.
there are pitch and tempo issues hafhgshdgdhgd i’m bad at music sorry
Ha! No way, I have Fan covers now?! :D This is pretty sweet, good stuff!
…but guys (particularly my fellow Homestuck fans), help out a comic with some serious grace and style: If you are so inclined, please go to that page (click the title), check out the two comics, then vote for Gunnerkrigg with no hesitation.
Such a creative and devoted author deserves some praise.
Well guys, I made it to the Homestuck album! The song was re-titled “Gold Pilot” for the album. Check it out! And while you are checking it out, check everybody else on the album out! Oh, and buy the album! :D

First Turn Fold—Bring the Funk (and the Speed-Rush)
Just a song I composed in less than a day for the “Bring the Funk” remix contest (only found out about it yesterday! o_O).

First Turn Fold - Just Hit B
Hi guys! This is just a personal project I wrote a while back and felt like sharing. It’s a song about video games! Having been a Game Design major in college, it seemed fitting.
The vocals are rather hard to make out, as they really weren’t the focal point of the song, but for those curious, here are the lyrics:
|
Verse1:
Player One, And Player Two,
Idle animations running through,
Pick up the pad, Enter username,
And you’re off again, It’s the game,
(repeat)
Chorus:
But in the dark, A Shadow begins to seek it’s mark,
Our path is clear, It’s here,
We play the game, We open the doors to save the dame,
And find our way to day,
Verse2:
Draw your sword and look ahead,
Better time it right or you’ll end up dead,
You’re down to three pulsating HP,
But I’m here to help, Just hit B,
(repeat)
(repeat chorus x2)

Enjoy guys!

First Turn Fold - The Green Odyssey (a song in honor of Becquerel )
Hi Guys! This being my first post actually relating to my music, it may be a bit of an odd one, but only to some! I do a lot of soundtrack work for people that do animations and that sort of thing, but this little nugget is a tad different. This is my entry for the 21st Homestuck music album contest. Homestuck is a furiously popular long-form webcomic (that people should check out here). They do a lot of animations spliced into the thousands of still panels though, and this brought them the need for music. Well after a while, people just started writing music for it just for the fun of it, and that resulted in the albums they periodically release. This piece was done with the character Bec in mind, and hopefully any fans out there will listen and go “hey yeah! I can totally see how that’s a thing.” So anyway, enjoy it, folks!
So I kinda completely forgot about this after I I made it, so lets start this again…
I’m going to start posting some of my music here, some of which is on youtube already, other of which have been previously unreleased! So stay tuned/become tuned in the first place!
-Ben
